The Dalsland Canoe Marathon is a yearly event that takes place every second weekend of August in Dalsland.
This year over 700 canoers and kayakers participated in this great event.
With almost no experience in canoeing I've attended this event for the first time and experienced my limits.
I paddled a total of 45 kilometers before the wind was so strong that the organizers decided to take me and a few others out of the race because it was impossible to paddle the last 10 kilometers at 2 km/h.
However, it was a great experience. Every muscle hurts and the landscape in Western Sweden is absolutely phenomenal!
