It all began with an early departure from a well-protected anchoring site, where I enjoyed a breathtaking sunrise. But the looming storm in the afternoon had me anxiously checking the weather forecast throughout the day.

As I set sail, things didn't quite go as planned. The currents turned against me, and we faced a dead calm sea with no wind after passing the notorious Lista. However, just when I thought there would be no wind on this passage, the winds picked up, and the waves started rolling in. Thankfully, I made it to the safety of the fjords of Egersund before things got too intense.
Egersund, a charming coastal city, welcomed us with open arms, providing a serene harbor, stunning coastal views, and even live music to soothe the souls after a day of unexpected adventure.
